February 25, 2013, 5 pm: Opening of the e-commerce site Mangawear
I am pleased to announce the opening of the website Mangawear, which my son is the founder, specialized in a clothing line with Asian themes.
The Japanese comics Manga inspire the first range.
Manga are comics created in Japan, or by Japanese creators in the Japanese language, conforming to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century. They have a long, complex pre-history in earlier Japanese art. In Japan, people of all ages read manga. The medium includes works in a broad range of genres: action-adventure, romance, sports and games, historical drama, comedy, science fiction and fantasy, mystery, suspense, detective, horror, sexuality, and business/commerce, among others.
Since the 1950s, Manga has steadily become a major part of the Japanese publishing industry. Manga have also gained a significant worldwide audience. Manga stories are typically printed in black-and-white.

The South Korean K-pop (Korean pop abbreviation) inspires the second range. It first became popular in China and Southeast Asia; it is now a genre present in Western countries, North America to Europe through South America.

I am proud to have contributed modestly to this site, first as a father and then as a photographer and buyer.
Now I wish it a lot of success.
